Who is Cellular Medicines?
We are a family owned and operated company based in New Zealand. We are approachable, and we welcome you to get in contact.
Who makes the products?
We design, manufacture, test, and personally sign-off all our products. We differ from many international and New Zealand brands in that we do not contract out the manufacturing process.
Where are the products made?
We manufacture our products in New Zealand. We are externally audited under the Ministry of Primary Industries. We source raw ingredients from around the world, including New Zealand, Australia, Italy, the United States, China, and India.
What flavouring is used in the dietary supplements?
We use only natural ingredients for flavouring. Depending on the product, we use European elderberry from Italy, blackcurrant from New Zealand, beetroot juice from Australia, organic orange and lemon oils, organic apple, and organic stevia.
Why are the dietary supplements in liquid form and refrigerated?
Although our dietary supplements contain levels of nutrients far higher than those found in food, there is a food quality to our products, especially in terms of real-food flavours and plant-based organic lecithin. We essentially provide high doses of nutrients in a food base, in contrast with powders in capsules or tablets. The food base itself provides nutrition.
Why the syringes?
The syringes included with our high-dose dietary supplements allow you to measure and take your supplement within seconds. They are particularly suited to giving specific doses to different family members and to giving supplements to children.
Why is there an emphasis on high doses?
We offer therapeutics for serious health issues. If you are deficient in a particular vitamin or mineral, you typically need to take high doses to reach an adequate level of that nutrient – a small maintenance dose will not suffice.
Why use liposomes?
We make our liposomes from sunflower lecithin, which is itself a highly nutritional ingredient. Liposomes (or lipospheres) are spheres used to transport vitamins and minerals through the body. Most importantly, because the liposomes are lipid-based (fat-based), they can increase the absorption of the nutrients they carry in the intestines, allowing you to take higher doses of those nutrients.
We are not the first company to use liposomes. However, the issue with liposomes has been their poor taste. We are unique in that our products are flavoured with intense real-food elderberry, blackcurrant, beetroot, apple, orange, and lemon flavours that overpower the liposome flavour.
Why use activated vitamins?
When we consume vitamins, the body typically converts them into activated forms before using them. Usually, it is fine (and more affordable) to take the unactivated forms. However, many people suffering from chronic illness struggle to convert vitamins to their activated forms, and they benefit from taking activated vitamins.
Why use chelated minerals?
Chelated minerals (such as zinc, copper, or iron bisglycinate) are minerals bound to small amino acids, such as glycine. This binding is like that found in food, where minerals are not floating around isolated but rather linked to proteins, amino acids, and other plant compounds. This binding allows a mineral to be better absorbed.
Why is MSM included in many products?
There are certain nutrients that the body uses in multiple ways. One of these nutrients is sulphur. In terms of detoxification, sulphur is used in making the key detoxifier glutathione, discharging toxins and waste chemicals, producing enzymes that convert toxins to benign products, processing heavy metals, and ensuring the optimal function of the liver, the body's main organ for detoxification. By way of contrast, in producing collagen, the body uses sulphur to strongly bind strands for skin, bone, and other connective tissue. Simply put, the quality of our collagen depends on how well our collagen strands are intertwined and cross linked by sulphur. MSM is a naturally occurring compound and is optimal for delivering sulphur.
Why do you also offer bulk powders?
Taking advantage of our supplier relationships, we offer 99%+ bulk powders (such as benfotiamine, coQ10, and NMN) to customers wanting to take a lot of these expensive nutrients. Typically, these nutrients are offered by manufacturers in small amounts in capsule or tablet form. The bulk powders are a fraction of the price.
